Baseball Game Preview: Hilliard Red Flashes vs. Sandalwood Saints

The Hilliard Red Flashes will venture away from home to square off against the Sandalwood Saints at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hilliard has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 11.

Hilliard came up short against Fernandina Beach on Thursday, falling 12-2. That's two games in a row now that the Red Flashes have lost by exactly ten runs.

Hilliard saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conner Bayless, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Bayless a new career-high in doubles (two).

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sandalwood's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bishop Snyder on Tuesday. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sandalwood now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Hilliard, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
