Recap: Eastern Eagles vs. Green Bobcats
The Eastern Eagles are still winless after their match against the Green Bobcats on Saturday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. Eastern fell just short of Green by a score of 60-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Abbie Knapp was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 39 points and 13 rebounds for Green. The contest was Knapp's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Matti Hayslip was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 3 steals.
Eastern's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Green, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Eastern's road trip will continue as they head out to face Nelsonville-York at 7:30 p.m. on December 4th. Hopefully Nelsonville-York focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday. As for Green, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Oak Hill at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th.
