Baseball Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Marlboro Central Dukes. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 18, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Roosevelt saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shea Montgomery, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Roosevelt's record is now 1-7. As for Marlboro Central, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Roosevelt is set to take on their familiar foe Rondout Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Marlboro Central will face off against rival Saugerties at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
