Baseball Recap: Pomperaug Comes Up Short

After flying high against Immaculate on Wednesday, Pomperaug came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Brookfield Bobcats on Friday, falling 9-3. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 9-8 to the Bobcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dom Creaco was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Pomperaug's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Brookfield, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pomperaug is set to take on their familiar foe Stratford at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Brookfield will square off against rival Newtown at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
