Baseball Recap: Payson Takes a Loss

Payson and Ridgeline squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Payson had to settle for second. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Riverhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 on Thursday.

Ty Marvin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Ruger Braithwaite was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run.

This is the second loss in a row for Payson and nudges their season record down to 11-19. As for Ridgeline, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Payson nor Ridgeline have any future games scheduled.
