The American Patriots can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Reagan by a score of 48-37. That's another feather in the cap for American, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
American's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Omar Baqai, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Alexandre Brigitte, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds.
American's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Reagan, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
American won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Belen Jesuit at 4:30 p.m. on January 5th. Belen Jesuit presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than American in Florida (Belen Jesuit is ranked 92nd, while American is ranked 213th). Reagan and Schoolhouse Prep will face off at 3:00 p.m. on January 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Schoolhouse Prep is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.2 points per game.
