Basketball Recap: Leake Central Picks Up 12th Straight Win at Home

Leake Central came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 78-60 win over the Northeast Lauderdale Trojans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Gators also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Northeast Lauderdale still got an impressive performance from Bj Portis, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Portis a new career-high in assists (five). Another player making a difference was Troy Brown, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
