Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is First Baptist's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

South Metro HomeSchool came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against First Baptist, but Lydia Wynja wouldn't allow it. The First Baptist Crusaders walked away with a 36-25 win over the South Metro HomeSchool Huskies on Tuesday thanks in part to Wynja, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of First Baptist's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jada McKinney, who posted 11 points and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

First Baptist is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.2 points per game. As for South Metro HomeSchool, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

First Baptist will host Liberty Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. First Baptist's defense has only allowed 28.1 points per game this season, so Liberty Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. South Metro HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
