Basketball Recap: Butler County Piles Up the Points Against Trinity

Butler County won the last time they faced Trinity and things went their way on Friday too. The Butler County Bears blew past the Trinity Raiders, posting an 85-53 win. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Raiders are ranked 217th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Butler County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trever Deweese, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. Ty Price was another key player, going 8 for 19 en route to 21 points and five steals.

Butler County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29 points. As for Trinity, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Butler County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-58 victory against McLean County on the 25th. Trinity has also already played their next matchup (against Union County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
