Beekmantown beats Gouverneur for their third straight win

The Beekmantown Eagles had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They managed a 23-19 win over Gouverneur.
Nathan Parliament was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns.
Beekmantown is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Gouverneur, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beekmantown will take on Plattsburgh at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Plattsburgh is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Gouverneur, they will be playing at home against St. Lawrence Central at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. St. Lawrence Central is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
