Kennedy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Laguna Creek Cardinals on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Cougars have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Kennedy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-21, 25-22.

Looking ahead, Kennedy will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Laguna Creek, they will face off against Rosemont at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
