Baseball Recap: Wildwood Comes Up Short

Wildwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Hawthorne Hornets, falling 14-5.

Louis Brown III was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Gino Dedaj also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Wildwood's record is now 1-9. As for Hawthorne, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Wildwood will welcome Freeport at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Freeport will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Wildwood surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hawthorne, they are taking a road trip to challenge Crescent City at 7:30 p.m. on March 25th.
