Basketball Recap: Freeburg Takes a Loss

Freeburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Okawville Rockets. The Midgets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rockets earlier this season, when they won 36-33.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Okawville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brynn Rhodes, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Tepe, who posted 12 points.

Freeburg's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Okawville, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Freeburg will head out to challenge Jersey at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Okawville, they will welcome Wesclin at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
