Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Bamberg-Ehrhardt

Bamberg-Ehrhardt had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They took down Ridgeland 54-40. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-30 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bamberg-Ehrhardt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brian Mcmillian, who posted 13 points in addition to six boards and five assists. Mcmillian also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Bamberg-Ehrhardt is 8-3 when he posts at least five steals, but 1-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Darius Walker, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 13 points and four steals.

Mcmillian wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Bamberg-Ehrhardt was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Ridgeland still got an impressive performance from Jordan Sanders, who had 22 points. The dominant performance gave Sanders a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jabien Harris, who earned eight points.

Bamberg-Ehrhardt now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Ridgeland, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bamberg-Ehrhardt has already played their next game (against Royal Live Oaks Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ridgeland has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against Denmark-Olar.
