Recap: Banquete Bulldogs vs. Gregory-Portland Wildcats
The Banquete Bulldogs lost against the Gregory-Portland Wildcats back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Banquete was outmatched by Gregory-Portland on the road and fell 74-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Banquete has scored all season.
Gregory-Portland found their leader in underclassman Bella Davis, who scored 28 points along with six assists and six steals. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Brittney Chapman, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Banquete now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Gregory-Portland, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Banquete will be staying on the road on January 5, 2024 to face off against San Diego at 6:15 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Gregory-Portland, they will challenge Miller at 6:15 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
