Baseball Game Preview: Fairfield Knights vs. Delone Catholic Squires

Fairfield hasn't had much luck against Delone Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Knights will host the Squires at 4:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Fairfield is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Shalom Christian Academy.

Stephen Higgs was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Cramer, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Delone Catholic was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They came up short against Eastern York, falling 11-2.

JD Sieg made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Delone Catholic now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Fairfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-1.
