Volleyball Recap: Davidson Fine Arts Comes Up Short

Davidson Fine Arts lost against Savannah Arts Academy back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Titans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their offense was headlined by Jane Pennington and Brooklyn Moss, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Haidyn Sikes and her two assists. Moss was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Maggie Allen was the offensive standout of the contest as she had eight digs and three assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last five matchups.

Davidson Fine Arts' loss dropped their record down to 21-16. As for Savannah Arts Academy, with the win, they broke their seven-match losing streak and moved their record to 12-21.

Davidson Fine Arts has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against St. Pius X Catholic on the 27th. As for Savannah Arts Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Walker on the 27th.
