Volleyball Game Preview: Kearny Komets vs. Patrick Henry Patriots

Kearny is 0-5 against Patrick Henry since May of 2021 but things could change on Monday. Kearny will host Patrick Henry at 6:30 p.m. The contest will give Kearny their first taste of in-conference action this season.

Kearny's tournament run continued when they took on La Jolla Country Day on Saturday. Kearny came out on top against La Jolla Country Day by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Patrick Henry posted their closest win since February 28th on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Mira Mesa 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Patrick Henry took Mira Mesa into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15, 15-25, 24-26, 15-11.

Patrick Henry pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Kearny, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.

Kearny might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Patrick Henry when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Kearny avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
