Basketball Game Preview: Valders Vikings vs. Sheboygan Falls Falcons

The Valders Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Sheboygan Falls Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Valders' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Tuesday, Valders was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 70-65 to Kiel. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Sheboygan Falls lost 64-42 to Roncalli on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Jets are ranked 26th).

Sheboygan Falls has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Valders, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Valders barely slipped by Sheboygan Falls in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 57-56. Will Valders repeat their success, or does Sheboygan Falls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
