Quincy Notre Dame extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Athens. They had just enough and edged the Athens Warriors out 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Raiders as they're now sitting on 20 straight.

Quincy Notre Dame had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-12, 27-25.

Eva Breckenkamp paced Quincy Notre Dame's offense, picking up 15 kills. Breckenkamp got some help from Annie Eaton and her 36 assists.

Despite the defeat, Athens saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Arabelle Cunningham had ten digs and 29 assists. Cunningham has been hot for a while, having posted 16 or more assists the last 32 times she's played.

Quincy Notre Dame has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 26 of their last 27 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 35-2 record this season. As for Athens, they moved to 30-8 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Quincy Notre Dame has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Sacred Heart-Griffin on the 7th. Athens does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
