Baseball Game Preview: Indian River Braves vs. Nansemond River Warriors

Indian River is 0-10 against Nansemond River since March of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Braves will take on the Warriors at 5:45 p.m. Neither Indian River nor Nansemond River posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Grassfield hit Indian River with a four-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Braves came up short against the Grizzlies, falling 11-2.

Indian River saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paul Green, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Meanwhile, Nansemond River fell victim to Granby and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Comets by a score of 2-0. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Indian River now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Nansemond River, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
