Baseball Game Preview: Mohonasen Warriors vs. Lansingburgh Knights

Mohonasen has gone a perfect 6-0 against Lansingburgh recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Warriors will head out to face off against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Mohonasen's last matchup with Cobleskill-Richmondville could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Saturday. The Warriors came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 13-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

Mohonasen saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AJ Crux, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. The Warriors are 2-1 when Crux posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-5 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Lansingburgh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk.

This is the second loss in a row for Mohonasen and nudges their season record down to 6-6. As for Lansingburgh, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Mohonasen took their victory against Lansingburgh in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
