Basketball Recap: Thomas Jefferson Vikings vs. Petersburg Crimson Wave
Thomas Jefferson lost against Petersburg back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Thomas Jefferson Vikings took a 73-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Petersburg Crimson Wave. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Nylan Robinson had an outrageously good game for Petersburg as he dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten boards. Petersburg is 5-1 when Robinson posts eight or more rebounds, but 7-8 otherwise. Arkell Crenshaw was another key player, going 6-for-9 on his way to 17 points and three steals.
Thomas Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Petersburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.
Coming up, Thomas Jefferson will be playing in front of their home fans against Freeman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
