Volleyball Recap: Walther Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Walther Christian Academy lost against Timothy Christian back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Broncos took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-15.

Sebastian Rivera-Azurdia paced Walther Christian Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Rivera-Azurdia got some help from Esteban Lopez and his seven assists. Lopez was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Walther Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Timothy Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Walther Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Northtown on the 10th. As for Timothy Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Illinois Math & Science Academy on the 10th.
