Volleyball Recap: Mesrobian Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Mesrobian and New Covenant Academy meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 3-2. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Huskies when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mesrobian actually scored more points across those five sets (110-100), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 26-24, 26-24, 12-25, 15-12.

Mesrobian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for New Covenant Academy, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mesrobian is set to face off against their familiar foe Waverly at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, New Covenant Academy will square off against rival Southwestern Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
