After having lost a blowout in their  previous game, Andrews was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past the Cherokee Braves  11-10. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Braves  last Tuesday, they had to take a  11-5  loss.
Andrews let  Logan Shular and  Drew Dartez run wild. Shular  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances, while  Dartez  scored a  run and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances. Those  three  stolen bases gave  Dartez a new career-high.  Braxton Rickett also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  runs of the season.
 Andrews  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .561. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Andrews' record now sits at 2-5. As for Cherokee, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the  defeat, which was their tenth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Coming up, Andrews will square off against Swain County at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Andrews' pitchers better be ready for this one: Swain County has averaged an impressive 8.2  runs per game this season. As for Cherokee, they will take on Hiwassee Dam at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Hiwassee Dam has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.36  runs per game on average), something Cherokee will no doubt try to take advantage of.
