Mt. Pleasant hadn't done well against Oak Grove recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Mt. Pleasant Cardinals came out on top against the Oak Grove Eagles by a score of 66-53. This was a revenge game for the Cardinals: when they faced off against the Eagles back in January, they had to take a 50-48 defeat.

Mt. Pleasant got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordon Flagg out in front who posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mauricio Heredia, who put up 19 points.

Despite the loss, Oak Grove still got an impressive performance from Dominic Ortiz, who went 8-for-12 en route to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Derek Trac, who had nine points.

Mt. Pleasant picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 7-12-1. As for Oak Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.
