Baseball Recap: Alliance Comes Up Short

Alliance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Carrollton Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Aviators of the 4-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Alliance got a good showing from Brodee Bugara, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Bugara has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, DiAngelo Fisk was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Bo Davis was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Alliance's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Carrollton, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Warriors beat Alliance by a score of 8-1 on Wednesday.
