Basketball Recap: Del City Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Lawton

Del City can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lawton Wolverines, sneaking past 56-54. The win was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Wolverines are ranked fifth).

Del City's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8. As for Lawton, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 17-2.

Del City has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
