Baseball Recap: Richland Takes a Loss

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Richland nor Bishop Guilfoyle made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Rams lost 7-1 to the Marauders. Rams fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Marauders since on Thursday.

Richland has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richland will square off against Brookville at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Huntingdon at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bearcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Marauders surely won't give up without a fight.
