Basketball Game Preview: Calvary Christian Academy Knights vs. Judah Christian Tribe

The Calvary Christian Academy Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Judah Christian Tribe at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Calvary Christian Academy is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Heritage just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell to the Hawks 43-39.

Meanwhile, Judah Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 39-27 defeat to Arthur-Okaw Christian. One positive for the Tribe, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Judah Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Masyn Miller posted 19 points and four steals. Miller's morning made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Peighton Joines, who put up four points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Calvary Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Judah Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Calvary Christian Academy ended up a good deal behind Judah Christian when the teams last played back in February of 2020, losing 48-30. Can Calvary Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
