Baseball Preview: Clarkstown South Vikings vs. Harrison Huskies
For the second straight game, Clarkstown South will face off against Harrison. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Huskies at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Clarkstown South has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Tuesday, Clarkstown South needed a bit of extra time to put away Harrison. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Huskies.
Ryder Licata looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (two).
At the plate, Clarkstown South's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nick Speckenbach, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
