Basketball Game Preview: Clever Blue Jays vs. Forsyth Panthers

The Clever Blue Jays will head out on the road to take on the Forsyth Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Clever sitting on four straight wins and Forsyth on five.

If Clever beats Forsyth with 49 points on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Clever beat Buffalo on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 49-47.

Meanwhile, Forsyth didn't have too much trouble with Reeds Spring on Friday as they won 66-51. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Wolves are ranked 289th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Forsyth pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Clever, their record now sits at 12-8.

Clever came up short against Forsyth in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 57-44. Can Clever avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
