Softball Recap: Myers Park Mustangs vs. South Mecklenburg Sabres

Myers Park had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the South Mecklenburg Sabres as they made off with a 13-3 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-4 back in March.

Anna Eason spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Regan Godman was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Camille Christian was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.

Myers Park's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for South Mecklenburg, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
