Football Recap: Sidney's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Custer County came into Friday's game looking for another win against Sidney, but Gradin Sukut wouldn't allow it. The Eagles took down the Cowboys 21-6 on Friday thanks in part to Sukut, who rushed for 80 yards and three scores, and also threw for 136 yards on 12 of 17 attempts. He didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended two passes in addition to snagging two interceptions.

The victory (which was Sidney's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.0 points on average over those games. As for Custer County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Sidney wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 20-18 victory against Lockwood on the 10th. As for Custer County, they have also already played their next matchup, a 16-8 defeat against Dawson County on the 10th.
