Softball Recap: Tiverton Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

Tiverton won against Durfee on Tuesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Tiverton beat Durfee by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 15-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-5 on Tuesday.

Lia Doster made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Doster was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Emma O'Shea was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Sadie Pickering, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.

Tiverton has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 15.0 runs this season. As for Durfee, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Tiverton will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Rogers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will give Tiverton their first taste of in-conference action this season. Durfee has already played their next matchup (against Apponequet Regional), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
