Basketball Recap: Brenham Gets the Win

The Brenham Cubs didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Madisonville Mustangs on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 56-51 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cubs.

Antyiahna Lang had another great game (as she tends to do), dropping a double-double with 15 points and 16 boards. She also put up two assists, which were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Janiyah Mathis, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 13 points and four steals.

Brenham's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Madisonville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Brenham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 80-50 win against Los Fresnos on the 20th. As for Madisonville, they will square off against Silsbee at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
