Lathrop had won five straight games and Sariah Hilton did her part to make it six on Monday. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Central Valley Hawks thanks in part to Hilton, who had seven aces and one block. She has been hot recently, having posted six or more aces the last three times she's played.

Lathrop's got stronger as the match went on, holding Central Valley to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-15, 25-13.

Lathrop's victory bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Central Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.
