Football Recap: Wellborn Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Wellborn played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Westbrook Christian Warriors, falling 48-6. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-0.

Brody Blevins had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 172 yards and three TDs while completing 73.7% of his passes for Westbrook Christian. Blevins is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Brodey Wood helped Blevins out on the ground, rushing for 57 yards and one touchdown on only six carries.

This is the second loss in a row for Wellborn and nudges their season record down to 5-4. As for Westbrook Christian, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Wellborn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westbrook Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Vinemont at 7:00 p.m.
