Dayspring Christian Academy has gone a perfect 5-0 against Bishop Machebeuf recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Buffaloes at 2:00 p.m. Dayspring Christian Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Bishop Machebeuf's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Bishop Machebeuf will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Dayspring Christian Academy extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Eagles blew past Dawson School 14-2. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Gage Davis made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three RBI and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Josiah Rodriguez was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Vaniddekinge, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one double, and one RBI.
Dayspring Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Bishop Machebeuf had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 6-3 win over Front Range Christian on Tuesday.
Like Dayspring Christian Academy, Bishop Machebeuf also got a great game from a two-way player: Jack Menke. Throwing, Menke pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Meanwhile, Matthew Menke tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Jack has become a key player for Bishop Machebeuf: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5 otherwise. At bat, Menke went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Matthew went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was John Menke, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.
Dayspring Christian Academy pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Bishop Machebeuf, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Dayspring Christian Academy took their victory against Bishop Machebeuf in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
