Ashton Crace leads a balanced attack to beat Southeastern

Recap: Unioto Shermans vs. Southeastern Panthers

The third road contest was the charm for the Unioto Shermans, as they earned their first road win of the season. They enjoyed a cozy 49-32 victory over Southeastern on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Unioto, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Unioto's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashton Crace, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of K.b. Perkins, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carter Fisher, who scored five points along with 11 rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Fisher pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gage Cheadle, who scored four points.

The win got Unioto back to even at 3-3. As for Southeastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unioto will be home for the holidays to greet South Point at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (South Point is ranked 446th, while Unioto is ranked 447th). Southeastern will be home for the holidays to greet Amanda-Clearcreek at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
