Basketball Game Preview: Rossville Hornets vs. Clinton Prairie Gophers

The Rossville Hornets will take on the Clinton Prairie Gophers at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Rossville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.9 points per game this season.

Rossville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top against Bethesda Christian by a score of 53-44.

Rossville found their leader in sophomore Brayden Thiele-Hahn, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 19 points and five boards. The contest was Thiele-Hahn's fifth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Lucas Saylor, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 10 points and five rebounds.

Rossville was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are 15-6 when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, Clinton Prairie entered their tilt with Carroll on Wednesday with 12 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 13. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 64-40 win. The Gophers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 20 points or more this season.

Rossville is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. Clinton Prairie's victory bumped their record up to 21-2.

Rossville took a serious blow against Clinton Prairie in their previous matchup back in February, falling 72-42. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Rossville was down 44-15.
