Chesapeake hadn't done well against Oakland Mills recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Cougars put the hurt on the Scorpions with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won six matches in a row.

Chesapeake's got stronger as the match went on, holding Oakland Mills to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 25-15.

Gillian Price paced Chesapeake's offense, picking up 12 kills. Price got some help from Morgan Burr and her 14 assists. Finally, Eva Bombard kept Chesapeake's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Chesapeake's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Oakland Mills, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
