Softball Recap: Auburndale Triumphs

Auburndale won the last time they faced Richland Center and things went their way on Saturday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 9-5.

Danika Blomberg was incredible, going 2-for-1 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Breleigh Grimm, who went 2-for-4 with three runs.

Auburndale's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Richland Center, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-3 record.

Looking ahead, Auburndale will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Marathon at 4:45 p.m. The Red Raiders will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Richland Center, they will venture away from home to challenge River Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
