Edmonds-Woodway is 8-2 against Shorewood since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Warriors will take on the Stormrays at 6:30 p.m. Edmonds-Woodway is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.

Edmonds-Woodway took a loss when they played away from home last Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Mountlake Terrace by a score of 7-3. While the Warriors didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Ella Campbell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Catie Ingalls was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Abby McCorvey also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, Shorewood fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Archbishop Murphy on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 8-7. The Stormrays' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Edmonds-Woodway's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Shorewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Edmonds-Woodway might still be hurting after the 14-4 loss they got from Shorewood in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
