Volleyball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Cornerstone Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Heritage Christian Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Cornerstone Christian Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Heritage Christian work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 26-24, 25-21.

Olivia Knuckey paced Cornerstone Christian Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Knuckey got some help from Chase Braden and her ten assists. Braden also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Olivia Kuehn, each putting up two.

Cornerstone Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Heritage Christian, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Coming up, Cornerstone Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Wylie Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heritage Christian, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Prince of Peace on the 3rd.
