Cedaredge put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 54-23 victory over the Grand Valley Cardinals. Given the Bruins' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while the Cardinals are ranked 280th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carley Malinowski continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 13 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Abby Brooks was another key player, going 7 of 12 on her way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Cedaredge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive matchups.

Grand Valley's loss came despite strong showings from Taylor Pittman and Leah Stark. Pittman dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards, while Stark posted four points and four steals. Stark is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Cedaredge pushed their record up to 12-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Grand Valley, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Cedaredge has already played their next game, a 55-9 victory against Aspen on the 25th. As for Grand Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 42-18 win against Olathe on the 25th.
