Basketball Recap: Richfield Comes Up Short

Richfield lost to Manti back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats took a 28-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Templars.

Despite the loss, Richfield still got an impressive performance from Kinlee Barney, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points and three steals.

Manti found their leader in sophomore Madelyn Bridges, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine steals. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for Bridges. Carlie Thompson was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

Richfield's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Manti, their victory bumped their record up to 5-16.

Looking ahead, Richfield will be playing at home against Canyon View at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manti, they will head out on the road to challenge Carbon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Templars are facing the Dinos at the right time seeing as the Dinos are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
