The Lovelady Lions and the Mart Panthers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Lovelady Lions had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a rough 57-20 loss at the hands of the Panthers. Lovelady's loss signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.

Mart's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jd Bell led the charge by rushing for 137 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries. Bell has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was De'Montrel Medlock, who threw for 290 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes.

Lovelady's loss dropped their record down to 13-1. As for Mart, they pushed their record up to 14-0 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Lovelady does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mart will take on Chilton at TBD on Friday. Chilton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
