Soccer Recap: Wesclin Comes Up Short

Wesclin fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Roxana on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shells. Wesclin's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Nevaeh Quitmeyer, who's now up to 18 this season.

Wesclin's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-2. As for Roxana, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9-2.

Looking ahead, Wesclin will venture away from home to square off against Hillsboro at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roxana, they will host Freeburg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
